Galaway Management Services has been retained by one of its clients –a local leading logistics company, to recruit and select a suitable candidate for the position of Imports Clerk based in Beitbridge.
Job Purpose
To ensure that there is efficiency in the Company’s Imports Logistics System to avoid delays and as well as ensuring accountability for all resources.
Duties
- Conducts ZIMRA physical examinations.
- Keeps record of all submitted entries and finalized entries.
- Tracks and pushes for bills of entry assessment and release.
- Submits licenses and permits to ZIMRA for mark-off
- Checking that all supporting documents are attached before submitting bills of entry for release.
- Splits documents for submission to ZIMRA.
- Collects stamped documents from ZIMRA.
- Facilitates trucks release.
- Compiles and escalates all complicated queries to supervisors.
- Undertakes e-filing activities.
- Updates registers.
- Makes payments to local authorities.
- Checks bills of entry status and updates files.
- Responds to F45s’ and prints assessed bills of entry and F45s’.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 ‘O’ Levels with English Language and Maths
- Certificate in Customs Legislation & Procedures or equivalent
- Classes 2, 3 and 4 Drivers Licence
- Professional Membership such as CILT/CIPS
- Diploma in Customs Legislation & Procedures or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in import and export operations
