Galaway Management Services has been retained by one of its clients – a manufacturing company to recruit and select suitable candidates for the position of Human Resources Officers.
Main Duties
- Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
- Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
- Promote equality and diversity as part of culture of the organization
- Negotiate with staff and their representatives on issues relating to pay and conditions, contracts and redundancy packages
- Administer payroll and maintain employee records
- Interpret and advise on employment law
- Work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
- Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures
- Develop HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any other social science
- Professional Qualification such as IPMZ is a must
- A minimum of 3 years’ working
- Effective verbal and written communication
